Hearing in MI House Regarding Redaction of DOB Data in Court Record
Today there were hearings regarding the redaction of Date of Birth (DOB) from court records for background screening. The DOB is an integral part of ensuring we have the correct individual when conducting criminal and civil background research. This is for the benefit of Michigan businesses and the candidates alike.
Our trade group, the Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA) testified and is actively working with the legislature to ensure public records include DOB. You can watch the hearings here:
