LA County, California removes DOB from records
On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Los Angeles County announced that starting from the close of business on Friday, February 23, 2024, partial dates of birth (DOB) will no longer be accessible through kiosks or online services. You can find the official notice HERE.
We are currently addressing this issue with our research partners, our trade organization, and local officials. We would like to find a solution that benefits consumers and employers. Additionally, we are actively exploring alternative options and evaluating the potential impact of this change.
Considering the imminent nature of this announcement and its implementation, we are advising clients that background checks from LA County may be affected starting next week.
